November 15th - Trail Ride, Demo on Fixing Horse Problems, and Cookout at Lake Proctor Wilderness area.
The ride will be in the LAKE PROCTOR WILDERNESS AREA in Geneva (located a little north and east of Orlando/Sanford area). We will be parking at 244 N. Jungle Road, Geneva, FL. The Wilderness Area is 475 acres with winding trails, changes in topography, wildlife, shallow lakes to ride in, pine thickets, large moss covered oaks, and, of course, our own great guide. Hours of riding can be had without boredom and provide many experiences for the riders.

Plan to arrive by 9 a.m. There is plenty of parking as this is also the local "grass strip" airport in Geneva. We will muster on the west end of the field and start at 10 a.m. for a hour and half (1 1/2) ride into LAKE PROCTOR WILDERNESS AREA. Upon return around noon, we will enjoy a cookout (provided for the riders) and will be privileged to watch a true "horse whisperer" in action. Tom Olive, horse trainer extraordinaire, from Ocala will be demonstrating methods of dealsing with problem horses, showing results of correct training, and will answer questions that you may have about getting your horse to do what you want it to do.

After lunch and the "Tom Show", those who wish to ride more may go out on the trail once again. All are welcome to ride as long as they desire. The WILDERNESS AREA is open until sunset. The best part of it all is hat all you have to do is to show up with your horse and enjoy the day! In order for us to plan for food, please contact Rocky Harrelson (harrelson1285@bellsouth.net) or Jim and Kathie Woodward (jwoodwar@stetson.edu) or phone 386-734-8561 (Home) or 386-747-9015 (cell).
